  4. Must be, if you look at the lock gate’s beam you’ll see the same blue glow on the side facing us. While people will dismiss this as incorrect white balance, your idea sounds better.

Description

Another picture taken from my visit to my parents. While sliding through the snow, camera dangling from its tripod I was drawn towards the bright lights coming from the trees. I like the way this image turned out after correcting the white balance, its made the trees more visible. The white streak above them is a tractor or quad bike coming down the road (it wouldn’t be a car, the road was shut due to the snow).

The bench adds a bit of foreground interest, and the thing to the right is a canal lock. I’ve walked across that lock gate, and I witnessed one of my friends jumping over the lock itself, but that was before I owned a digital camera.
